This is one of our most popular courses, that is tailored to your needs. Venues and times vary according to who commissions the courses.

This is a personal development course written and delivered by Positive Futures North West. It works with individuals to help them develop confidence and self-esteem to become more assertive in life. Each week you will work on skills and strategies to enable you to build up a toolbox of resources to help you through difficult times.

Sessions will vary according to the
groups needs, however we will cover:

  • Positive thinking and self-talk
  • Finding a starting point
  • Letting go of personal baggage
  • Visualisation
  • Self-help
  • Communication and social skills
  • Working as part of a group
  • Understanding different behaviours
  • Managing emotions
  • Self-esteem

Anxiety Management

To get the most out of this course you must be prepared to fully participate in group discussion and practical activities.

The course itself is run over 4 weeks in small numbers facilitated by experienced trainers. This course gives you the opportunity to look at how your mind is designed to heal itself.

Sessions will cover:

  • How to take more control
  • Challenge your intrusive thought patterns
  • Train your brain to stay calm
  • Relaxation

Stronger You

This is another personal development course written and delivered by Positive Futures North West. It works with individuals to help them develop resilience and motivation to become more assertive in life. Each week you will work on skills and strategies to enable you to build up a toolbox of resources to help you through difficult times.

Sessions will cover:

  • Understanding Emotions
  • Developing Resilience
  • Practical Workshops
  • Being able to bounce back from difficult situations
  • Helping keep up your motivation

Positive Literacy

A course for people who want to improve their reading, writing and grammar at any level

Fun and enjoyable classes using a wide variety of teaching methods including: books, poetry, and prose, writing your own autobiography and much more

Come along to join in interesting discussions, group work and make new friends.
